Well we have completed our trip up the east coast of Australia now, and seen plenty of things. close to 500 photos I think so a lot to show when we get back!

Best stops were Hervey Bay and Airlie Beach where we had some great day trips to Fraser Island, and then the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef where we got to snorkle. No sharks, just tons and tons of fish!

Sydney was good purely from a point of seeing things like the Bridge and Opera House, nice to see something that I've only ever seen on TV before. Now I can say I've been there, done that!

A lot of the other cities are much like any other city, nice to go there for a few days but nothing too special. Brisbane was a nice stop, although staying in a hotel may have something to do with that!

Not sure I could handle the heat up the coast for much longer, was getting very hot and humid! No sunburn for me on the entire trip so far which is good though!

Have just had our first day in Auckland, will get some details posted up shortly.

Spent the day at Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. Rained most of the time there though!

A few photos to upload now that we have wireless again. First lot are from the Blue Mountains which are just inland from Sydney. This was a really good day trip for just $60. The guy had just set up his own company and really knew his stuff.

We are currently in Brisbane which has been really good so far, a very small city but much nicer than Sydney, feels quite up market and no tramps so far!!

Tomorrow we are off to the Australia Zoo to see some Crocodiles etc, then later in the week off to a few smaller town up the coast to break up the trip to Cairns. Starting off in Hervey Bay and a trip to Fraser Island, then Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. Then we have 5 nights of so in Cairns with plenty of time to visit the Great Barrier Reef before heading over to New Zealand.
