A few photos to upload now that we have wireless again. First lot are from the Blue Mountains which are just inland from Sydney. This was a really good day trip for just $60. The guy had just set up his own company and really knew his stuff.
This is from the cable car down into the valley, a big drop!
One from Byron Bay, not much here other than a beach!
We are currently in Brisbane which has been really good so far, a very small city but much nicer than Sydney, feels quite up market and no tramps so far!!

Me and the bridge, not quite as impressive as the Sydney Harbour bridge though!
Tomorrow we are off to the Australia Zoo to see some Crocodiles etc, then later in the week off to a few smaller town up the coast to break up the trip to Cairns. Starting off in Hervey Bay and a trip to Fraser Island, then Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. Then we have 5 nights of so in Cairns with plenty of time to visit the Great Barrier Reef before heading over to New Zealand.

Last Day in Sydney

Well today was our last day in Sydney, and we spent most of it up in the mountains. Saw our first Australian Kangeroo near the bottom (photos will be up when we next get decent wireless access). The rest of the day was spent going round various view points getting photos, then near the end of the day we got a cable car down into the valley, had a walk around in the rainforest (just lots of trees!) and then to get back up we came up in the world's steepest train which was very steep! It moved pretty quickly so photos were hard to take but I did manage a few which will be up sometime next week.
Tomorrow we get to go on a 13 hour coach journey to Byron Bay, another day getting up before 6am, not fun!
Sydney has been the best location so far on our trip with plenty to see and do, I could easily recommend visiting for anyone thinking about it. I'm sure there is plenty we haven't managed to get done, but what we have seen has been good.
